About Our meetings

The Wychwood Lodge is in the Masonic Province of Oxfordshire and comes under the jurisdiction of The United Grand Lodge of England.

We meet eight times a year on the third Thursday of January, February, March, April, September, October, November and December at the Masonic Hall on Sheep Street in Burford. Our meetings start at 6pm prompt and finish after a magical three course meal around 10pm.

On the Tuesday before our meeting we hold a lodge of rehearsal where new and existing members can get together for an informal gathering and run through the format of the upcoming meeting.

Masonic meetings take on a different form from lodge to lodge, here at The Wychwood Lodge we work the very special Ritus Oxoniensis ritual, and you will soon find that our meetings consist of lots of fun peculiarities, unique traditions and it has been said that the meal afterwards is something once experienced is never forgotten.

Throughout the year we hold a number of social occasions, where we encourage our members to bring along their family and friends to experience the day and enjoy the beautiful lodge building and it's amazing garden. We are very proud of our Lodge and you will soon find out that it is a wonderful place to spend a few hours amongst friends.
